Advice for New Second Life Players

Valuta questo Articolo Playing in a new virtual world game can be pretty scary and daunting, but if you follow these advices, you will find that you are very much welcome in Second Life! Giochi di Mondi Virtuali! - Advice for New Second Life Players

There’s always a first time for everything in this world. For virtual worlds, there definitely is a first time for everybody.

Because of the amazing worlds that they offer, games like Second Life are undoubtedly attractive to many new players. After all, the game is free and, in return, they offer one an irresistible opportunity to be who they want to be and what they should be without worrying about the norms in society.

However, getting into a new game, especially one as massive as Second Life, can be quite scary. Thus, we’ll be happy to walk you through the things that you, as a new player, have to know in the game to get started.

First off, imagination is the only limit that you are constricted to here in the game. Almost everything is permitted here. Did you know that there are adult-oriented parties hosted by certain players every once in a while? Yes, people can be as naughty here as they want to… provided that you are at the right forum, virtual world, or chat room.

The public rooms, on the other hand, are a different matter altogether. Everyone here is expected to abide by etiquette for online conversations. Most, if not all, of the chat rooms have a moderator. So make sure not to run afoul of the chat rules of the game or you could get kicked out or worst, banned. If you're unsure of the rules, since you're new and all, make sure to read about them on Second Life's website.

Worry not though – just keep going around the virtual world and you can find the rooms that you will certainly be at home in. The game has a vast collections of big, and somewhat daunting especially if you're new, worlds to explore, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time.

Second advice – strike a conversation! Many players in this game are very friendly and welcoming to newcomers but nobody will know you need help or guidance, if you don't put yourself out there and ask questions. Not to mention, you wouldn’t know if the user is interested in the same things as you do if you don’t talk to them first.

Be yourself, is what the third advice will be. Remember, you’re in Second Life to create a "second life" (pardon the pun) for yourself. Don’t hold yourself back - though, common curtesy is still advisable, naturally. The people in the virtual world don’t know who you are beyond your avatar, and you have all the power within you to keep your identity hidden if that’s what you want to do.

You don’t have to tell everyone who you are in the real world, because most of them will not ask unless you want them to.

Last but not the least, be creative. You have a personal abode that’s given to you, and it’s yours to remodel as you see fit. Decorate it using your amazing sense of artistry. Again, don’t hold back – your imagination is the only limit here! Don't forget to invite people over for a private party. They can rate your creation, and add to your popularity in-game too.

Second Life is without doubt one of the best virtual worlds that you can join. With these advices in hand, you’d be able to acclimate to Second Life’s environment in no time!
