People have long since been fascinated with the lost city of Atlantis. How would you have reacted if you found out that there were a group of them that were actually living on land long before the famed land had sunk beneath the sea?

In any case, the team of explorers that lead the story of Lost Artifacts: The Golden Island Collector’s Edition finds out exactly that, together with a new mission. They have to help the exiled people from Atlantis find that submarine they used to get to land, and reassemble it so they can return to their sunken homes in order to confront the evil villain that rules it.

To do that, they’ll have to rebuild part after part of the island that the Atlanteans are living in, so that they can make their way to where the fragments of the submarine were dumped by the locals after disassembling it. It’s your job to supervise the Atlanteans, in exchange for which they are willing to provide manual labor.

In a nutshell, this game is your typical time management virtual world simulator. You assign tasks to your Atlanteans simply by clicking on a part of the screen you want them to go to. Tasks would include collecting food that have been placed on roads, or repairing roads so that some of the level’s objectives can be reached.

You can build resource facilities in order to ensure a steady stream of resources in each level. These facilities include farms, sawmills and quarries. These provide your Atlanteans a steady supply of food, wood and stone, respectively. These resources are needed to accomplish specific actions in each level, so make it a priority to do so as early on in the level as you can.

As with all time management games, you’re given a chance to get three stars (the highest rating) but you’d have to finish all the game’s goals as quick as you can. Each time threshold represents a star rating. The fastest time record gets three stars, while the slowest gets you one star. If you cannot finish within that time limit, you won’t be able to proceed to the next level because you’d need stars in order to do so.

In addition to the challenges that it brings, the gameplay in Lost Artifacts: Golden Island Collector’s Edition also gives you a storyline that should pique the interest of all those that are fond of researching about dead civilizations. Take note, this is only one of the many titles in the successful Lost Artifacts series.

When that 60-minute trial version is over, you’d have to make the decision whether or not to make a purchase. You won’t go wrong deciding on the latter, of course. The 60-minute trial already has enough content to keep you glued to your seat playing the game; the full version will definitely be worth your time.
