Boonie Planet is the home of a race of furry and cute “monsters” that you’ll have to take care of when you decide to sign up for an account at the website. The process is not even that complicated. You only need to enter your username, and your password. There’s no need to specify an email address, although you’ll have to keep your credentials close as there’s no way to recover them if you forget the details.
Alright, after the short sign up process, you’ll have to start choosing your Boonie. Customize this one all you want, because this is your main avatar. This Boonie will be your face when you go about exploring the virtual world. It will represent you in the chat rooms, and in your visits to your fellow Boonies’ homes.
You don’t take care of just one Boonie, however. Right at the start, you’ll be asked to pick between three eggs of different colors. Pick one that suits your preferences; it’s all about colors and what you like about them. This egg is your first Boonie pet, but not your last. You’ll catch plenty of them in the wild when you explore the virtual world, and take on their challenges.
There are many types of Boonies around the virtual world. There’s the Common Boonie, the Rare Boonie, and the Dark Boonie, among others. They even interact with one another in different ways – a Dark Boonie, for instance, fears the Rare Boonie for a reason.
To take care of your virtual pet, you’ll have to groom and feed them. When you do so, they gain Happiness points and level up when the Happiness gauge is filled up. You are then rewarded with Boonie Cash, and some Diamonds. These are the game’s currencies, and are used for a variety of purposes including purchasing clothes and accessories for your pet, decorations for your house and grooming supplies for your Boonies.
There are games that you can play here in Boonie Planet. One of which involves challenging wild Boonies to a tickling match; each match, if won, has the chance of gaining you a new pet. The game will inform you if the Boonie wants to join your team, and it’s up to you to approve it.
There is also a Dress Up Competition. You’re given a few seconds to select cool outfits for your Boonie, and the Judge will choose between yours and two other players’ Boonies to award as the winner.
You can also go around the Virtual World making friends. You can enter Chat Rooms – there are two of them, the City and the Forest – and meet other players there. You can also drop by each and every player’s Homes and leave a message for them.
