Can you get Expert ratings in all levels?
If you’re far from an area from which you could experience a real farmer’s market, then you should get on your Big Fish account and download the virtual farm manager Farmers Market. This game will let you experience the busyness and the exhilarating feeling of getting your produce from the farmers themselves. Better yet, you’re going to learn how to manage a real market with this game!
It could get confusing at the start as to how you’d like to carry on with your tasks. However, that is never a problem because the game gives you a very detailed tutorial that guides you as to what you will need to do when you’re playing this market simulator. You’ll learn the ropes early, like what ingredients are needed to produce a specific product, and where you can produce those ingredients.
The first products you’ll be producing are dairy, grain and bread. Bread requires milk and wheat in order to be produced, so that’s what you’ll be learning early on. The stall that produces bread will require you to deliver the ingredients that it needs in order to make bread. In the game, you do that by ordering your worker to fetch the ingredients from the Dairy and Grain stall to bring to the Baked Products stall. Each action will require 1 worker, and that worker will not be available the entire time that he’s doing the task that you’ve given to him.
Workers are central to the game. They are responsible for building stalls as well as collecting trash, among others. In each level, you start off with only one worker but you can always hire additional workers for $100 each. It’s highly recommended to have at least three workers even in the earlier levels; with multiple workers, there’s less waiting time for each task. You can also achieve your goals a lot faster than you would with only one worker in your employ.
There are two modes in the game, namely, the Relaxed and Challenge mode. The game describes Relaxed mode as taking your sweet time with each level’s goals, while Challenge mode requires you to stick to the time limit.
In any case, your score depends on how fast you can meet your level’s goals. Finishing the goals while the gauge is still colored green will give you an Expert rating, and will mark the level with a star in the level select screen. It’s simply an additional perk to finish as quick as you can. To do so, however, you’ll need to memorize the ingredients of the products so you can build the necessary stalls faster.
Graphics are excellent. When the farmers’ market is quite busy, the sprites will gather about in the screen and emulate what an actual market feels like. You’ll be amused at the busy workers going about constructing stalls and ferrying ingredients from one stall to another.
Farmers Market is not for free, but it does come with a 60-minute trial that you can use to get a feel for the game. Give it a try, and don’t forget to buy if you enjoy the game. Farmers Market Shrnutí
